Sixty employees of Ta’ Dirjanu retail outlets in Victoria, Marsalforn and Għajnsielem were presented certificates after successfully completing a series of training courses. Part of the training programme was supported by the Training Aid Framework 2, co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), the government and the employer.

Other courses, including management, customer care, upselling, retail security, first aid and fire safety at workplace, were financed by the company.

Most of the courses were organised by MHCS Consulting company. The Emergency Response and Rescue Corps (ERRC) delivered the fire safety and first aid courses.

Agius Services Ltd, the company which runs Ta’ Dirjanu outlets, opened its first small drinks shop 14 years ago in Victoria. It is now an established retail business in Gozo that also supplies commercial establishments.

The certificates were presented by managing director Bernardette Agius, accompanied by her three children, who manage different sectors of the company, and officials of MHCS Consulting and the ERRC.
