• The feast of Our Lady of Succour will be celebrated in Kerċem today.
Gozo bishop Mario Grech will lead a Pontifical Mass at 9am at the parish church, with the participation of the Stella Maris choir and orchestra and the St Gregory choir of Kerċem, under the direction of maestro di cappella P. Grech.
Sant’Antnin band of Birkirkara will perform marches in the main streets at 11.30am.
Parish priest Brian Mejlak will lead prayers in the parish church at 7pm.
Mgr Gregory Grech will lead the procession at 8pm, accompanied by St Gregory band. Mnarja band will perform in front of the parish church.
The statue of Our Lady of Succour will return to the church at 10pm, accompanied by the singing of the antiphon Beata me dicent.
Bishop Grech will give the sacramental blessing.
• A blood donation session will be held at the Gozo General Hospital today from 8am to 1pm.
• Masses at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the rosary and eucharistic benediction.
On Wednesday, Masses at Ta’ Pinu will be said at 5, 6, 7, 8.30 and 9am and 5.30, 6.30 and 8pm, followed by the rosary.
• The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be celebrated at Ta’ Ħamet church on Thursday. Church rector Carmelo Hili will say Mass at 6am. Solemn adoration will take place from 6 to 7.30pm, followed by a concelebrated Mass led by archpriest Carmelo Refalo and a pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady.
• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at the Good Shepherd church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.
