Medichem’s plant in Celrà (Girona) has passed a US Food and Drug Administration inspection without any observation, for the sixth consecutive time.
In February, Malta’s plant went through its second consecutive inspection without any Form 483 observations.
Medichem is a leading company in the development, production and marketing of active pharmaceutical ingredients.
It has been selling its products in the US market since the 1980s. Since then, the company has sold more than 30 products in that country and its premises have been regularly audited by the FDA.
Medichem has more than 200 employees working at its various locations, including its Barcelona headquarters, two production plants in Celrà and Malta, and a laboratory in Nanjing, China.
Medichem is in the process of integrating with Combino Pharm, which has a production plant in Malta and a research and development centre in Barcelona.
