Two diving instructors were today granted bail after they were involved in a fight when one of them groped a woman's breast after Tuesday's Isle of MTV concert.

Marko Knezevic, 33, from Serbia, and Jordan James Morley, 21, from Liverpool, were charged with injuring two Spanish men who intervened after their friend, Spanish national Maria Gonzalez, was  groped.

Mr Knezevic alone was charged with violent indecent assault on Ms Gonzalez and with injuring one of her friends. He was further charged with offending public morals with indecent acts committed in public.

Prosecuting officer Jeanne Farrugia explained that the fight broke out after Ms Gonzalez had her breast groped by a man walking in the opposite direction. Her friends intervened and a fight ensued.

One of the Spaniards was hospitalised and is due to undergo surgery, she said.

The men pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them. Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras granted them bail against a €300 deposit and a €10,000 personal guarantee.

Lawyers Arthur Azzopardi and Ronald Aquilina were defence counsel..
