If foodies had to design the space of their dreams, this would take the form of Sistina Wine & Co. This outlet, located at the Strand in Gzira, is a multifunctional space that incorporates a wine bar, wine and gourmet food shop, outside seating and exhibition areas showcasing art.

As you’d hope from a wine bar, the staff is knowledgeable about the very extensive drinks selection. The wine list has something for every taste offering more than 400 different wines from around the world including Italy, France, Spain, the US, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, South Australia, New Zealand and Lebanon.

Not a wine lover? Choose from a fine range of prosecco, Japanese single malt whiskies and Berta oak-aged grappas.

Sistina Wine & Co offers a small but interesting menu including pates, grilled halloumi cheese, exotic Lebanese platters of ful medames, warm za’atar flavoured pitta bread, arayes stuffed with fragrant minced meat and other, equally delicious platters.

Sistina Wine & Co. offers a little bit of everything, from teas by Whittard of Chelsea to fine chocolate truffles and other gift ideas.

Moreover, there is always something going on, from live music every Thursday evening and prosecco happy hour every day from 4pm till 7pm to regular wine tasting events. Sistina Wine and Co. also accepts bookings for private parties and other functions.

Sistina Wine & Co. is also organising Minimalistic Encounters, an exhibition by Kevin Casha open from July 23 till the end of August.
