The government this afternoon officially confirmed that it has broken off talks with U-Group Malta on its proposal to build a shooting range as Busbesija in Mosta and will instead start talks with Busbesija Group, which has proposed the setting up of a retreat house with agritourism facilities on the site.

The government said that it has successfully concluded the first round of talks with Malta Health Care Caters, which is planning to provide facilities for the elderly in the former Mtarfa Isolation Hospital; Exclusivity Malta, which will set up a Boutique Hotel at Marfa Palace; and Frott Artna Agritourism Consortium, which it plans to convert the Strickland Palace into an agritourism facility.
