Last Tuesday I visited the public toilet for people with disabilities, just opposite the Maltapost branch office by the parish church in Mosta. To my disgust, there was no toilet paper, the floor was filthy, the electric hand dryer was out of action and the tap on the wash-hand basin was wobbly, having been wrenched off its base.

I immediately drew the attention of the local council to this matter, hoping that next time the toilet will be in better condition.

Unfortunately, the miserable state of this public toilet is typical of many others in our country.
