Italian franchise Yoyogurt, offering top-quality, fresh frozen yoghurt with locally sourced fruit and crêpes, has opened its first Malta store at Bay Street in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s.
Founded in the northwestern Piedmont region in 2001 by brothers Gregorio Fiumara and Daniele Laino, Yoyogurt counts over 150 outlets in Italy and across Europe.
The concept is to create one’s own frozen yoghurt ice cream by choosing one’s preferred yoghurts, all of which are low-fat and have little sugar, and mixing in fresh or dried fruit, chocolate, biscuits, almonds, nuts or cereals (not caramelised). There is also a choice of 30 fruit syrups and sweet sauces to mix.
Besides crêpes, one can fill in brioches and cannoli pastry with any favourite filling.
Yoyogurt, located on Level 1 at Bay Street, is open from Monday to Sunday between 10am and 10pm.
