We have the right to a VAT refund on our imported Jeep Cherokee. Last year, in June, I received a cheque for €110, dated March 4, 2014, so it could not be cashed because it was four months out of date.

They had promised me a new cheque within three weeks.

A few days ago, I received another cheque, posted on June 16, 2015 and dated March 6!

If I were to issue a cheque that is so backdated it would be considered fraud. I phoned them about 20 times and, eventually, managed to speak to the director, who promised to take action.

This unnecessary action that I had to take is a complete waste of time, money, stress and so on.

What do we do next, write a letter to the Prime Minister?

This situation would never happen in my EU country, Holland.
