A total of 563 claims of political discrimination have been filed with a Nationalist Party entity tasked to seek justice when the party is elected to government, Opposition deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami said.

He said most complaints were related to Enemalta, the police force, army, planning authority, and the sectors of health care and the elderly.

Set up last March, this new entity, called KuntattPN, is headed by Opposition MP Robert Cutajar.

Dr Fenech Adami said the most notable cases were three employees working with the Central Bank of Malta, Malta Financial Services Authority and National Statistics Office who were recently accused by the Prime Minister of leaking information to the Opposition.

He said these accusations had only been made because these employees did not “wave the government’s flag”.
