The Greek Prime Minister persists in huddling with his ministers, creating confusion in the minds of the EU citizenry. Deliberately, of course, and intended only to put the ‘troika’ (EU, ECB and IMF) in bad light as anti-solidarity biased, instead of succumbing to bullying tactics.

I have always believed that in Europe our comportment has been exemplary. But Alfred Sant’s latest publication, Malta and the Euro – 2, helped to confirm my belief.

Devoid as it is of any partisan politics, Sant’s book makes interesting reading.
