Gino cries while embracing a relative representing his family, while his partner Ling Jueding (right) looks on during their wedding ceremony at a park in Beijing. The gay couple, Ling, 34, and Gino, 27, both internet entrepreneurs in businesses related to China’s LGBT community, held their wedding ceremony in Beijing yesterday after changing the venue for nearly 10 times due to intervention from local police. Over 200 people attended the ceremony, with the couple planning to register their marriage in Los Angeles in the US in August. Even though same-sex marriage is illegal in China, holding the wedding ceremony to mark their two-and-a-half-year relationship is a personal wish for the couple, according to Gino.
