It seems that drivers are being preyed upon by wardens on a daily basis. Why is it that they always manage to find victims?

The answer is that they know there are far too many vehicles on the road and not enough parking spaces, especially in areas such as the Strand in Sliema, Valletta, Marsalforn and other popular locations.

They hide behind trees, at the end of tunnels and also behind walls. When they are not doing any of the above, they go into a parking area and check on all the licences.

Basically, knowing only too well that certain areas in Malta suffer from an acute shortage of parking spaces, the government went ahead and created these people. What was the prime reason for the creation of wardens?

Was it to create more employment and to rake in more income? I guess most likely it is both.
