• The feast of St Peter and St Paul will be celebrated in Nadur tomorrow. Bishop Mario Grech will lead a concelebrated pontifical Mass at 9am at Nadur basilica. Fr Richard Farrugia will deliver the panegyric, followed by the presentation of the Golden Heart award. Marches by St Helen Band of Birkirkara and Żejtun Band start at 11.30am. Archpriest Jimmy Xerri leads solemn vespers at 6.30pm. The procession with the statue of the saints, led by Nadur’s archpriest Jimmy Xerri, accompanied by the Mnarja Band, starts at 8pm. The Precursor Band will also participate. The procession will end at 10.30pm with the antiphon and a sacramental blessing.
Horse races will be held this morning from 8am onwards in Ta’ Xħajma Road. At 6pm, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead the pontifical translation of the relic, after which he will lead solemn vespers, accompanied by the collegiate chapter and clergy and representatives of the cathedral chapter. A sacramental blessing will follow. A fireworks display will be held at 9.05pm.
Mnarja and La Stella bands will play marches in the main streets at 9.30pm, while the Victory Band will perform a concert in the main square.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at Savina church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.
• Members of Il-Fergħa Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will meet at Ta’ Pinu on Saturday at 3pm to celebrate Mass and for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament till 4pm. All are welcome to attend.
