Model and entrepreneur Jessica Minh Anh will be transforming award-winning solar power plant Gemasolar in Seville, Spain into the world’s newest catwalk on July 17.

The model has produced fashion shows at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including the Eiffel Tower, London’s Tower Bridge, the Grand Canyon in Arizona and the One World Trade Centre in New York.

Minh Anh, whose catwalk was ranked among the top 10 most impressive productions of all time, represents a new generation of creative leaders. Elle Italia fashion editor Giulia Pacella said: “Jessica had models walking in the sky at the Grand Canyon, on top of the Eiffel Tower and on water at the Hudson River. I have no doubt this show will be yet another mindblowing success.”

Minh Anh and her team flew in to produce a series of photoshoots and the promotional video of J Summer Fashion Show 2015 at Gemasolar. The model was surrounded by the plant’s central tower and thousands of shining mirrors.

The shoot was captured by the latest drone technology

To highlight the sun’s effects on the exquisite fashion and jewellery collections, the shoot was captured by the latest drone technology. Minh Anh modelled seven new haute couture dresses by Vietnamese celebrity designer Hoang Hai, three flamenco dresses by Spanish talent Pilar Vera and a customised Pandora jewellery collection during the 12-hour shoot.

To complement Minh Anh’s look, Spanish hairstylist Jorge De Sancho took on the challenge to create the model’s signature hairstyles. Minh Anh is well known for not only her phenomenal fashion productions but also for her unique hairstyles.

In the promotional video, Minh Anh said: “As an IT specialist, I’m intrigued by the technical aspect of the plant. Gemasolar’s pioneering method of producing electricity 24/7 using only the sun makes this plant a global symbol for sustainability and innovation. On the other hand, as a catwalk producer, I can vividly see my ideal catwalk right in the middle of Gemasolar. I’m particularly passionate about this project because we have an opportunity to not only promote fashion and beauty but also celebrate the best of advanced technology and environmental preservation.”

The shoot also featured an interview with Raul Mendoza Ruiz, Gemasolar plant manager, Torresol Energy, who said: “It is an honour for Torresol Energy to have Jessica Minh Anh transform Gemasolar into the first-ever solar-powered catwalk. Gemasolar is part of the next generation of power plants and represents the future, just as Jessica does in fashion. We believe the world will be truly amazed with this mixture of technology and fashion.”
