Middlesex University is holding an open evening on Tuesday for students interested in learning more about postgraduate study.

There are many reasons to undertake a Master’s degree: to become a specialist, attract a higher salary or gain greater job satisfaction. Student researchers cultivate a special skill set as they explore new pathways to knowledge and develop in directions they might not have considered.

The postgraduate programme coordinator at Middlesex University said: “The fact that our School of Science & Technology has a strong research profile guarantees that the courses we deliver are innovative and informed by current research. Moreover, the university’s close liaison with companies like Microsoft and Siemens ensure our Master’s degrees meet the ever-changing demands of the IT industry. This is good for the university, the students and companies who eventually employ them.”

Student Micquella Galea said: “The lecturers during my MSc provided insight into the ever-challenging field of business management using the latest IT systems. This allowed me to gain expertise during my research-based dissertation in knowledge management, which eventually led me to publish and win the best paper award in a highly prestigious IEEE international conference in Dubai.”

The evening starts at 6pm. For details, visit www.mdx.edu.mt or call 2145 6862.
