Banif Bank has given its car loan a fresh look, focusing on the ‘It’s all about the journey!’ concept. The campaign uses the stunning Maltese countryside as a backdrop. The bank has also collaborated with local band The New Victorians, featuring a track off their new album in its commercial.

The loan has an interest rate of five per cent per annum and customers can borrow the full value of the car – new or second-hand – provided it doesn’t exceed €30,000. The loan can be spread over a period of up to eight years. Extra repayments may be made to settle the loan earlier without incurring any costs.

The loan includes an insurance policy to protect customers and their families in the case of unforeseen circumstances such as accidental death, disablement or redundancy.

Go first in Malta to use Spotify

Digital creative agency BRND WGN has unveiled a Spotify advertising campaign for Go, the first time any brand has used this platform to advertise in Malta.

The award-winning music streaming platform, Spotify, became available in Malta two years ago and has quickly gained popularity among the young generation, giving on-demand access to over 30 million tracks.

“Spotify is the biggest music platform in Malta, with almost a quarter of the entire population using the free ad-funded service,” said BRND WGN media director Lisa Browning.

Spotify offers the advantage of allowing engaging ad formats, such as video in a clutter-free environment on both mobile and desktop. It also boasts formats which guarantee 100 per cent visibility such as the billboard display advert which shows up whenever users return from five minutes of idle activity.

“We want to give our readers genuine advice about where to find specific brands, products and services in Malta,” added Isabel, who founded the company along with her partner George Turns.

SMS Mondial Valletta flagship office reopens

SMS Mondial has re-opened its office on Republic Street, opposite the former Opera House, a site it first occupied as a travel agency in 1966.

The contemporary design was the work of Martin Xuereb & Associates, while the external apertures were restored to complement Palazzo Ferreria, which the office forms part of.

In its half century, the location has arranged over half a million holidays and business trips for Maltese residents.

SMS Mondial came into being in 2011 following the merger of SMS Travel and Mondial Holidays. The brand is the main Malta-based retail arm of the Orange Travel Group.

Headquartered in Malta, the Orange brand is also present in Algeria, Cyprus, Greece, Jordan, Russia, Tunisia and Turkey.
