No one was injured when a Toyota car (above) overturned near Mater Dei Hospital early this morning – the third of three relatively serious traffic accidents during the night.

The first accident took place at 10.30pm in Sciortino Street, Zebbug when a three-year-old girl was injured when she was hit by a car. Fortunately her injuries were slight.

The toddler was with her parents when the accident happened, apparently when she emerged between parked cars.

During the night, three parked cars were damaged in St Edward Street, Qormi when another car smashed into them.

The car was being driven by a 48-year-old man from Qormi who refused medical assistance.
