Children and staff at St Thomas More College, Żejtun Primary A were given a taste fresh fish cooked by professional chefs from a trailer parked outside their school.

The activity was part of the Eat Fresh Fish awareness campaign, a project co-funded by the EU and various local stakeholders aimed at promoting the health benefits of including fresh fish in one’s diet.

Besides enjoying the meal in the school hall the children also watched an animation, played games and were given a puzzle related on the theme.

The trailer visited other schools and locations around Malta and Gozo. Recipes were distributed and chefs demonstrated how to cook easy and tasty recipes and enabled members of the public to taste their fish dishes.
