The article written by Jean Karl Soler (May 30) may have given us objective evidence on shooting ranges worldwide but it is anything but objective writing.

The fact the project has not been given “widespread support” should have made him sit back and wonder why.

The statistics he dished out have been repeated ad nauseam on the social media and, so far, they have convinced neither the Jesuits nor those whose brain is still ticking.

The article ends by implying that this is a God-given gift on which we must not turn our back.

To Soler I would say: “pull the other one.”
