EAR. On June 17, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, HARRY, aged 90, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Amy, his daughters Lorraine and Tania, their respective husbands Mario and Gino, his son Harry, his granddaughter Leeann, her husband Chris and his great-grandchildren Jake and Nicholai, his brother Frank, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Arkati on Friday, June 19 at 8.15am for St Mary’s parish church, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Mosta Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal peace.

MALLIA. On June 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL of Ħamrun, residing at Mosta, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Tarcisia, his children Jennifer and her husband Mark Saliba and Brian and his wife Sharon, his grandchildren Jeanclaude, Jake, Owen and Kathleen, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3.30pm for St Mary parish church, Mosta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm, followed by interment at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On June 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMEN of San Ġwann, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved daughter Miriam, son Joseph and wife Maryrit, grandchildren Jessica and Clyde, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for San Ġwann parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Requiem Mass

On the second anniversary of the demise of MARCELLO GRECO a Mass for the repose of his soul will be said today at 6.30pm at St Gregory parish church, Sliema. Family and friends are invited to attend.

A Mass for the repose of the soul of MAY PANTALLERESCO will be said tomorrow at 6pm at the Ursuline Sisters’ chapel, Sliema (parking available at St Patrick ground).

Din l-Art Ħelwa lecture

Din l-Art Ħelwa is presenting a talk by Lawrence Pavia called Julian Trevelyan: From Sketches to Etchings.

The talk will explore the unusual relationship Trevelyan had with the Maltese landscape and socio-cultural aspects and how he projected these in his works of art.

The talk will be held tomorrow at 6.30pm at 133, Melita Street Valletta.
