The Bible character Noah comes alive in this funny animated feature that will surely please the young ones. The story is kept simple and light, with the main emphasis being the colourful animation.

The film has several messages to share but the young ones will be more attracted to its humoristic take and the happy-looking animation.

Finny is a Nesterian, a creature with quite a big nose, who is always travelling around with his father Dave. When the lion announces that a flood is on the way, the two know that their only way to safety is to get on the ark which animals are entering in accordance to a prescribed guest list – in a two by two fashion.

A creature called Leah and her mother also need salvation.

The film has an overall high standard of animation

But by mistake, the parents board the ark and the youngsters miss the boat because they are not on the guest list. A manic adventure ensues.

Two By Two: Oops! The Ark Has Gone knows its audience and plunders the territory well as it goes for laughs and situations that young ones can understand and appreciate. The beautifully shot feature moves along the same lines of the Ice Age and Madagascar franchises.

The choice of heroes is also well made, as while these are not picture perfect, their characters are fun, which makes them very welcome travelling companions.

Mixed into the film are moments and flashes of pop culture that are timely and fit in well with the concept of opposites that yet are complementary.

There are other characters who deliver the laughs, including the hilarious small parasite Stayput and the enveloping Obesey.

The film has an overall high standard of animation that boosts the movie as a whole and besides, it is a European production (Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium amongst others listed) that brings a different flavour to its animation.
