Two donations of €5,000 each were presented to Helen Keller Resource Centre head, Connie Richard, and Dar tal-Providenza director Fr Martin Micallef, by Maleth Sinfonia Keyboard Orchestra director Mark Agius, and board administrators.

The presentation was held at Helen Keller Resource Centre in the presence presented of St Benedict College principal Carmel Micallef and Student Services within the Education Division director George Said Zammit.

A student from the centre, Angie Farrugia, presented Thank You cards to guests. The cards were made by the students at the centre with the aid of the staff.

The donations were raised during a concert, An Evening of Magical Music from the Animated Classics, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The Maleth Sinfonia Keyboard Orchestra was set up in 2011. It is made up of 14 keyboards and five percussionists and six singers. They perform on a voluntary basis.

The next concert will be in aid of the Richmond Foundation. It will be held in May 2016.
