For spring summer 2015, the Clarks men’s collection takes style with substance to the next level.

Shoemakers since 1825, spring summer 2015 arrives with the Clarks brand extending their reputation for delivering effortless British style.

Their team of international designers continues to take inspiration not only from key seasonal trends but also from Clarks own unique styles.

Described as ‘the hand of Clarks’, it’s these influences in particular that have helped create a men’s collection like no other, with designs that seamlessly combine the classic and the contemporary with the shoemaker’s craft. Also for the season ahead two other key themes emerge – barefoot and summer style – with shoes and sandals promising to complement wardrobe essentials.

Combining design and shoemaking inspiration from their archive, Clarks recapture and reveal the essence of what has made them one of the most enduring footwear brands in the world. Among key styles guided by ‘the hand of Clarks’ is Dakin. Recalling Castaway from the 1980s, its distinctive features include a moccasin stitch construction and handcrafted butt seam. A premium suede upper is complemented by a cleated sole, while XL Extralight technology delivers lightness on the foot.

Also reflecting the Clarks DNA is Grafted Sail. Drawing on the 1970s ground-breaking Polyveldt construction, the sole has been slimmed down for a modern look.

Barefoot at its best

Dressed up or dressed down, work, rest or play, ‘barefoot’ has become a byword for style and Clarks have taken the trend and made it their own.

Influences include the brand’s back catalogue of iconic styles, with silhouettes given an up-to-the-minute twist and enhanced by tried and trusted construction techniques that ensure looking cool and feeling cool are one and the same. Highlight styles include Frewick Lace.

Made from unlined perforated leather and unlined suede, its slim sole unit makes it the perfect accessory to the season.

Also tailor-made for barefoot trend is Gambeson Limit, which combines espadrille detailing with a classic brogue pattern.

Summer style

As the mercury rises, Clarks rise to the occasion. There are shoes, sandals and ultra-lightweight chukka boots including, from our Tor Collection, unlined casuals inspired by on-trend sports silhouettes. Archive influences like saw tooth soles once again play their part, while versatility informs every design.

Take Mego Walk. In bright summer colours, the choice is either perforated leather or non-perforated leather, which is the ideal choice for spring through to summer. Clarks Plus dual density cushioning is precisely and anatomically placed to deliver support where it’s needed most – beneath the big toe joint. The ultra-stylish Netrix Buck also offers choice, with toe post and slide and buckle options. Easy to wear, it takes heritage influences like the saw tooth sole and delivers them with a 2015 spin.
