• Today, Fontana parish celebrates the feast of the Sacred Heart. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a concelebrate pontifical Mass at 9am with the participation of the Chorus Urbanus directed by John Galea. Mgr Giovanni Bosco Cremona will lead solemn vespers at 6.30pm. A procession with the titular statue, accompanied by La Stella Band, starts at 7.30pm. The Santa Margerita V.M. and Ite ad Joseph bands will also participate. The procession will end at 10pm in the church square with a benediction with the Blessed Sacrament.
• A charity sale will be held by the Friends of the Sick and Elderly today from 7.30am to 1pm at Victoria football ground near the main car park. Sellers pay a €10 donation per car space.
• Masses at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the rosary and eucharistic benediction. On Wednesday, Masses will be said at 5, 6, 7, 8.30 and 9am and 5.30, 6.30 and 8pm, followed by the rosary.
