In an interview for University Matters on Campus FM 103.7, Patricia Camilleri speaks to David Mifsud about the entomology of the Maltese islands.
Mifsud, an entomologist at the University’s Institute of Earth Systems, stresses the importance of biodiversity for the environment, the dangers when these species are depleted and how complex the study of insects is.
He also talks about the abundance of species that live in Malta and how it is still possible to discover species previously unknown to science.
