The annual Science in the City — European Researchers’ Night has been recognised by Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe (EFFE) as one of Europe’s finest festivals and awarded the EFFE label 2015-2016, along with 12 other local festivals.

EFFE is a new international platform connecting festivals committed to the arts, community and European values and recognises the excellence of these festivals.

This year, Science in the City will be held on September 25 from 6pm till midnight. The festival events will take place in the street, squares and buildings from City Gate to St George’s Square, Valletta.

A star attractions this year will be a comet landing, simulating the Rosetta mission and Philae probe.
