The Radisson Blu Resort, Hotel Phoenicia and Grand Hotel Excelsior have won the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame award.

The award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given to establishments that achieve positive traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. The Hall of Fame was created to honour businesses that have earned a certificate of excellence for five consecutive years.

Winners include worldwide accommodations, eateries and attractions that deliver a superior customer experience.

“This is an achievement for the entire team at the resort. Winning five years in a row and being part of the Hall of Fame emits a sense of pride,” said the resort’s general manager Adrian Attard.

“There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by one’s customers. We are thankful to those who took the time to sit down and give us a review. The award is a remarkable vote of confidence.”

Hotel Phoenicia’s flagship restaurant The Pegasus, which was recently also presented with the FestaVico Silver Spoon in Sorrento, also won the excellence award.

Hotel Phoenicia’s general manager Charles Azzopardi said: “The reviews didn’t just help the hotel win the award but also inspire its team to continue providing the most enjoyable guest experience possible.”

Food and beverage manager Francesco Perricone said: “It is the highest honour we can achieve because we know it comes from guests worldwide who have taken the time to let others know about their stay. However, it is also a reminder that we need to continue to work hard to provide a unique dining experience.”

Grand Hotel Excelsior’s general manager Norbert Grixti said: “Being awarded the certificate of excellence five years in a row and inducted into the Hall of Fame makes us all truly proud and we’d like to thank our guests who took the time to share their experience on TripAdvisor. Being recognised by one’s guests is a reflection of our true commitment.”

When selecting certificate of excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honourees that take into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers over a 12-month period and the establishments’ tenure and ranking on the site’s Popularity Index.

TripAdvisor’s Marc Charron said: “By putting a spotlight on businesses focused on delivering great service to customers we not only help improve hospitality standards around the world but also give businesses the ability to shine and stand out.”
