The Aghil family write:

On behalf of all the family members of Rodwan Aghil, his father Mousa, his mother Ghada, his grandmother Sadiqa, his uncle Zakaria, his brothers Ayoub, Yassin, baby Taha, his sisters Juhaina, Botyna, Teima, Rania, Rana and Rudina, we would like to thank everyone, all our Libyan and Maltese friends and acquaintances, including the staff at EIE Educational Group, who showed us sympathy and offered to help us in this very difficult period that resulted from the tragic and untimely death of our dear son, grandson, nephew, brother and friend Rodwan.

We would like to thank the entire staff at the Libyan Embassy for their presence throughout our ordeal. We appreciated it very much.

A special thank you goes to the head of St Catherine’s School Sue Midolo, as well as all the staff and students where Rodwan had attended as a full-time student, for all the love, care and consideration they continue to show us. We are truly indebted.

We are also very grateful for the immediate aid given to Rodwan by the medical staff at Mater Dei, and the thorough investigations conducted by the police of St Julian’s police station. We cannot but also acknowledge the first assistance given to Rodwan by passersby, in particular the medical doctor who administered CPR until the ambulance arrived on the scene.

Young Rodwan will continue to be in our hearts and memories for a very, very long time, and we believe, as Muslims, that he is now watching over us from Heaven. On our part we pray to God to accept him with His mercy and allow his soul eternal peace.
