Birżebbuġa Freeport Regatta Club president Ian Farrugia, accompanied by club officials and rowers who participated in the Freedom Day race at the Grand Harbour and won the shield for the first time, paid a courtesy visit to Malta Freeport Terminals, where they met CEO Alex Montebello.

Montebello praised the team for its success and their unfailing commitment to the club. “Malta Freeport Terminals is committed to supporting the local community in various ways through its corporate social responsibility fund,” he said.

He congratulated the rowers, Clayton Fiteni, Rhys Fiteni, Christian Camilleri, Adrian Schembri, Donald Gilford and coxswain Kianha Camilleri, and presented the club with a memento.

The club won the race with 54 points, 14 ahead of Senglea, who placed second. Marsa came in third place with 36 points and Cospicua fourth with 28 points.
