Sadly, a few days ago I lost a true and genuine friend. I met Nevise some 20 years ago and we instantly became very close.

As true friends, there were times when we laughed and times when we cried together.

I could always count on Nevise as we were there for each other. Together, with her loving partner Hector, she was there for me in a difficult times when my husband Noel passed away. Ever since, she ensured that I would never be alone, kindly including me in her plans, were it for a holiday together or simply joining her for a cup of coffee. She indeed managed to bring back a smile on my face.

How could anyone not get on well with Nevise? She was an very considerate person with an infectious personality that delighted all those around her. She always had a kind word for everyone and her glowing and lovely smile was always on her face.

She was a successful career woman, carrying out her work with the highest degree of professionalism and sense of care towards all who were fortunate to know her. ‘Ne Ne’, as she was fondly known, will be remembered for her wonderful and caring personality, her beauty and elegance in the manner she portrayed herself among her friends.

Nevise, I was fortunate to have had you as my friend and, until we meet again, I will sorely miss you and undoubtedly so will all your numerous friends.

I will always treasure the personal and special moments we shared together and will remember you in my prayers.

May you rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.
