Immanuel Mifsud launched the Macedonian version of his European award-winning book In the Name of the Father (and of the Son) at the International Book Fair of Skopje.

Translated by prominent literary translator Vladimir Jankovski and published by Goten Publishers, Mifsud’s book is the first Maltese literary work to be published in Macedonian.

During his weeklong stay in Skopje, Mifsud addressed a number of events. Both author and translator were interviewed by literary promoter Robert Alag-josovski.

Mifsud also spoke of the historical and political element in his book during a meet-the-author evening at the European Union Info Centre in Skopje.

Originally written in Maltese and published in 2010 by Klabb Kotba Maltin, In the Name of the Father (and of the Son) has already been published in English by Midsea Books, in Romanian by Polirom and later this year will be also published in a French version by Gallimard.
