I refer to the editorial entitled ‘Time to redefine wardens duties’ (May 22).

Earlier this month, I was exiting the Tigne Point tunnel and, on emerging and seeing the sunlight, I switched off my headlamps. A warden who was exactly at the very place this photo was taken spotted me just at the time of switching off my lights and booked me.

I pointed out to the warden that from that point no way could she see whether my light was on or not. The sun was already visible from that point.

This is truly unfair as I did have my lights on but from where she was standing she could only capture cars at the exit when these are on the verge of switching off their lights.

This is one example of unnecessary waste of time and energy on unfair ticketing by many wardens that seem to be so hungry to book someone at all costs. It is indeed ‘a revenue generating scheme’, which only makes the warden system a source of irritation and annoyance not to mention a laughing stock.
