The SPCA Mad Hatter spring fair will be held today from 11am to 7pm at Maria Rosa Winery, located immediately after the new Citroen service station on Mdina Road going towards Attard.

The event includes stalls selling various items, a vintage bus ride, raffles and a grand lottery, games and barbecued food accompanied by wine produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sirakuzan grape varieties grown on the 4.2-hectare estate.

Children can enjoy a bouncy castle, face painting, performances by Curtain Raiser, mad hat design and costume competitions, pony rides, sand crafts, a kiddie’s picnic and various animator characters.

Dog owners can enter their pets in a dog show and win rosettes, trophies and prizes. There will also be free veterinary consultations on offer. Rescued dogs will be on display for people interested in offering them a home.

The entrance fee is €2 and children enter for free. The funds raised will support the society’s work. Parking is free.
