It was Mothers’ Day with a twist for those mothers who joined up for the Malta Driving Association’s second round of the Malta Drifting Championship 2015. The competition is becoming tougher and tougher as participating drivers are constantly improving the performance of their cars. In all, 10 drivers competed in this second round at the MDRA Hal Far Raceway, five in the Street Legal class and another five in the Pro class.
The Street Legal participants all fought closely for the top places. In first place came Dorian Galea in his BMW. Female drifter Marisa Grixti with her Nissan Silvia came in second, missing the top spot by only 0.5 points. She was followed by George Muscat (Nissan 350Z), Claude Frendo (BMW) and Matthew Azzopardi (Nissan Skyline).
The Pro class finished off with Christian Borg and his Nissan Silvia in first place, followed by Brian Mifsud (BMW), Andrea Fabri (Supra), Frank Spiteri (Mazda RX7) and Kurt Grima (Toyota).
