BOV Premier League club San Ġiljan Allcare this week confirmed that they will have two star foreign players in their ranks for the summer championship.

The Saints, without a national league title since 1995, will be spurred by Spanish national team player Guillermo Molina and left-handed Serbian Boris Vapenski as they seek to break the dominance of Neptunes Grimaldi, champions these last five years.

This season, San Ġiljan will also have a new man in charge as they will be coached by Marko Orlovic.

Vojvodina-born Orlovic re-places Croatian coach Emil Nikolic who had asked the club to relieve him of his duties due to personal reasons.

Molina plays for Italian giants AN Brescia and Vapenski will figure in the European Final Six tournament with his Hungarian team ZF-Eger before joining San Giljan ahead of the first BOV League match of the season against Neptunes on June 6.

Before joining Brescia, Molina had stints with other top clubs including Florentia, Barcelona and Pro Recco. Vapenski is a former Red Star Belgrade great.

Last week, San Ġiljan lost talented youngster Kai Dowling to rivals Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate in the transfer window.

Meanwhile, it was also an-nounced that this summer the Saints will be captained by Matthew Zammit, the 2014 player of the year. Dino Zammit is the team’s vice-captain.
