Obituary

MIFSUD BONNICI. On May 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, NEVISE, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving partner Hector Naudi, her beloved mother Emma, née Felice Gay, her sisters Olivia and husband Mario Barthet, Helga and husband John Rizzo Naudi, Suzanne and husband Simon Micallef Stafrace, Jacqueline Cauchi, her brother Josef and wife Karen Mifsud Bonnici, her nephews and nieces Philippa, Rebekah, Nicholas, Andrew, Robert, Marcus, Emma, Pia, Karl, John, Julia, Edward, Gianni, Katrina, Karl and Nadine Naudi and their children Martina and Michael, her aunts and uncles Maurice and Loulou Mifsud Bonnici, Doris Rosser, Mary and Joe Gatt and Lina Wismayer, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 1.45pm at Lija parish church. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. She will remain forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank staff at the Neuro Medical Ward for their dedication and support.

SAPIANO. In loving memory of dear DOROTHY who went to the Risen Lord on May 26 to meet her husband four months after his death, leaving her only son Martin to mourn his loving parents. Greatly loved and will be fondly rememberedby all her family members, relatives and friends, both locally and overseas. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, tomorrow at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann, where Mass will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

WETTINGER. On May 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, GODFREY, aged 85, passed away peacefully. He leaves to mourn him his brothers Henry and Alfred and their respective wives Betty and Dianne and their children and grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Professor Wettinger was a distinguished historian whose loss will be deeply felt within the academic community and beyond. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for the University of Malta, Tal-Qroqq, where a public farewell service præsente cadavere will be held at 2pm in the Atriju Vassalli (main quadrangle). Those attending are asked to be seated by 1.50pm. No flowers by request but donations to medical research through the Research Trust of the University of Malta will be greatly appreciated.
