Some three weeks ago our three-year-old had to be hospitalised at Mater Dei for four days. My partner and I would like to thank the staff there, as they were brilliant.

Both my daughter and my partner were treated in the nicest way, and the little one was given excellent care.

However, I was disappointed with what happened in the waiting area. Does an infant have to be accompanied by four relatives? Surely one or both parents are enough, but should a grandmother and aunt really be there?

Some people turn a visit to hospital into a family outing, complete with sandwiches and thermos! At one point my partner had to ask a lady to remove her handbag from a chair so she could use it while holding our daughter in her arms.

I appeal for people to leave additional relatives at home when visiting hospital

Thanks again to Disneyland staff. Keep up the good work.
