A group of almost 60 people aged between 13 and 71 leave Malta today for a pilgrimage in Spain to raise funds in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund to help cancer patients.

The Camino de Santiago di Compostela is one of the oldest pilgrimages to the shrine of St James the Great .

The initiative is being held under the auspices of President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, who will see the group off at the airport and also attended one of the training walks.
