All eyes will be on the Stadio Olimpico in the penultimate round of Serie A when Lazio host Roma in a game that could decide second place.

Roma are second in the standings but just one point clear of third-placed Lazio.

The side that does finish runners-up to Juventus, who have already clinched the title, will join the Bianconeri in next season’s group stages of the Champions League.

The team that comes in third place will go into the qualifying round.

Lazio head into Monday’s game looking to bounce back from Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to Juve in the Coppa Italia final.

An extra-time winner from Alessandro Matri denied Lazio their seventh Italian Cup and handed Juve the domestic double.

Juve will win a treble if they beat Barcelona in next month’s Champions League final in Berlin.

“Finals are there to be won and it hurts to lose one,” Lazio coach Stefano Pioli said.

“Our Coppa adventure has ended but we are still alive in Serie A. I’ve told my players to move on and to think of Monday’s game.

“We deserve to play in the UEFA Champions League but we have to earn it on the pitch.”

A Lazio defeat would allow Napoli to go level on points with the Romans, provided the Naples outfit win at Juventus today and that is something no side has managed to achieve in Turin this season.

Fiorentina, who are fifth in the standings, travel to Palermo knowing that a win would ensure them of Europa League football next season.

The Viola are four points clear of European hopefuls Sampdoria, who are seventh.

To remain in contention for the Europa League, Samp, who have won just one of their last eight league games, must beat Empoli in Tuscany.

Genoa hold the last Europa League qualifying spot and are one place and two points clear of city rivals Samp.

The Grifoni lock horns with Inter at the Luigi Ferraris stadium, today. Inter are four adrift of Genoa and have an outside chance to finish in the top six.

Milan host Torino in what could be Filippo Inzaghi’s last home game in charge of the team.

The Rossoneri are reportedly set to make a coaching change this summer with Inzaghi, who is under contract for a further year, having endured a disappointing first year at the helm of the San Siro outfit.

Milan are 11th in the standings and have won just 11 of their 36 games.

Atalanta lost 4-1 at home to Genoa last time out but still secured a spot in next season’s top flight thanks to Cagliari’s defeat to Palermo.

The Bergamo outfit take on Chievo in Verona tomorrow.

Udinese take on Sassuolo at the Friuli stadium with the northeasterners having lost three of their last four league games to drop to 15th place.

Bottom-side Parma will host their last Serie A game for the foreseeable future when Verona come to town this weekend.

Parma are already relegated after a difficult campaign on and off the pitch. They were declared bankrupt earlier this year and have mustered just six wins all season.

Strugglers Cesena and Cagliari are also doomed to Serie B football next season and face each other at the Dino Manuzzi stadium tomorrow.
