As part of its Melanoma Awareness campaign, Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre, in partnership with SkinCeuticals, is giving away a free broad-spectrum sunscreen with the purchase of one of SkinCeuticals’ revolutionary antioxidants until the end of the month.

Sunscreens are the skin’s essential first line of defence to protect against UV-induced photo-damage and skin cancer. SkinCeuticals formulated its range of broad-spectrum sunscreens in an innovative way to prevent and protect against accelerated skin ageing and skin cancer. For maximum photo-damage protection, studies show that the use of a high-factor broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 50+) in combination with antioxidants increases one’s protection level against harmful UVA, UVB & IRA (infrared radiation) rays.

Sunscreens alone protect the skin from the outside but antioxidants effectively and efficiently penetrate the skin to protect from the inside. The best sunscreen offers up to 55 per cent protection against UV damage, but when combined with a powerful and well-formulated antioxidant, protection levels rise up to 98 per cent.

SkinCeuticals’s professional skincare products are exclusively available from Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre in Ta’ Xbiex or from their online shop www.persona.com.mt/shop/.

As part of its partnership and the year-long SkinCeuticals charity campaign launched earlier this year, Persona will donate five per cent of all SkinCeuticals 2015 sales to Hospice Malta at the end of the year.
