Juventus have their hands on two trophies and there is just one more to go following their Coppa Italia triumph over Lazio on Wednesday

Juventus, the Serie A champions, beat Lazio 2-1 in Wednesday night’s final in Rome, with Alessandro Matri scoring an extra-time winner to hand Juve their first Italian cup since 1995.

Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri last month led his side to the Scudetto in only his first season in charge and is now within touching distance of securing a historic treble.

“The treble is a dream,” Allegri told the Italian press.

“The Champions League final will not be easy but it’s a dream that can become a reality.”

Juve were made to work hard to clinch their domestic double.

They trailed to an early Stefan Radu goal but equalised through defender Giorgio Chiellini before Matri came off the bench to score the winner, handing Juve their 10th Coppa.

“This group has done an excellent job,” Allegri said.

“We cannot forget we’ve been without (Andrea) Barzagli for eight months, without (Kwadwo) Asamoah, without (Martin) Caceres and (Andrea) Pirlo for several months because of injuries.

“Yet those who have played less throughout the season have contributed in crucial games and that is proof that this group always has the will to win.”

Juve host Napoli tomorrow and end their league campaign at Verona on May 31.

The Turin giants then have a date with Barcelona in the Champions League final in Berlin on June 6.

“We will go into the Champions League final having won the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto, but Barca are in great condition, just as we are,” Allegri said.

“When you play against a top team you have a chance to beat them if you play just one game and not two.

“Now we must recover our energy. We have a couple of days to prepare for the game against Napoli and then we will try to physically and mentally recover to approach the final in the best possible way.”
