Brazilian duo Jackson Lima and Jorginho have pledged their future to Hibernians after putting pen to paper on new contracts, the Malta champions announced yesterday.

In a short statement, Hibernians said that midfielder Lima had agreed terms with the Paola club for another two seasons while striker Jorginho reached an accord to extend his stay for another three years.

Lima and Jorginho played a starring role for Hibernians this season as they clinched their 11th league title and reached the final of the FA Trophy.

Lima, who joined Hibernians in December 2012, was a mainstay for the Paolites in midfield this season while Jorginho marked his first year at the club by finishing as the league’s top scorer on 25 goals alongside former team-mate Luis Edison ‘Tarabai’.
