Michael Ballack believes Jurgen Klopp will be working in the Premier League next season, saying he has all the attributes to do well in England.

Klopp has already announced that he will be resigning as coach of Borussia Dortmund in the summer and he has since been linked with several jobs in England, including Manchester City and Liverpool.

He has also been brought into contention for the Real Madrid hotseat, should Italian Carlo Ancelotti be dismissed, but former Germany international Ballack believes England is where Klopp will next be seen.

“There are several indications that suggest he will coach in England at some stage,” said Ballack in quotes reported by sport1.de.

“There’s speculation about it in England and it would make sense also for him to go there.

“He coached one of the best clubs in Germany, he’s an open coach who enjoys international acclaim for his successes... and he speaks English.”

Ballack, who spent four years at Chelsea, could be seen on the touchline himself sooner or later, although he says that a career as a coach is not necessarily the path he will follow.

The 38-year-old ended his playing career three years ago and says he “intentionally took a bit of time out” before considering this next step.

“If I do start (to coach), then I’ve got to be fully committed to it. It could happen at any time, but then that does not necessarily mean that it has to happen,” he said.

“At the moment, there is nothing definite. I am dedicating my time to other things and then maybe it will just happen... or maybe not.”
