CACHIA CARUANA. On May 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTOINE, aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his beloved wife Jo, née Sant Cassia, his children Edward and Silvana, Richard, Francis and Laura, Louise and Tonio Ellul, his grandchildren David and Katya, Matthew and Lucienne, Malcolm, Francesco, Philip, Michaela, Francesca and Timmy, his great-granddaughter Amelia, his brother Carmel and Marian, his sister-in-law Yvonne, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The family are grateful for the sentiments of appreciation for his life's work, expressed by his former pupils at St Edward's College, their parents, and his colleagues. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9am, for the grounds of St Edward’s College, Cottonera, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated by Archbishop Charles Scicluna at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Equal Partners Foundation would be appreciated. The family thank the staff at the Cardiac Critical Care Unit of Mater Dei Hospital for their dedication and care. Eternal rest grant unto him, Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

GRIMA. On May 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, VICTORIA of Msida and Għajnsielem, Gozo, widow of John, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children Joseph, Benny, Philip, Paul, Rose and Joan, their spouses, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45pm for St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. The family thank the staff and doctors at the MITU ward and ward M2 for their dedication and care throughout her long illness. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MIZZI. On May 16, at home, after a short illness, ANTHONY surrounded by his family, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 86. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Lilian, née Attard-Manche, his children Sandra and Peter, Susan, Andrew and Dora, Alex and Alexia; his beloved grandchildren Daniel and his wife Eliza, Francesca, Joe, Matthew, Adam, Anthony, Adel and Aaron; his brother Albert and wife Elda, his sister Sophie Grech, sister-in-law Rita Mizzi and brother-in-law Derek Vella; brother-in-law George Attard-Manche and his wife Jane, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, May 20 at 1.30pm for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
