• A car boot sale in aid of Arka Foundation is taking place today from 7am onwards at the Marsalforn car park.

• Home will be screened today at 6pm at Don Bosco oratory, Victoria. Kingsman: The Secret Service will be screened on Saturday at 8.30pm.
• The feast of St Rita will be celebrated on Friday at St Augustine church, Victoria. Mass will be celebrated every half hour from 6 to 8am and every hour from 9am to 1pm.
At 5.30pm there will be the blessing of flowers and the presentation of children to St Rita. Mass at 6pm will be celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona, followed by a procession with the saint’s statue.
• An international trumpet ensemble from Abbey Brass will perform a concert on Friday at 7pm at Ta’ Pinu sanctuary to commemorate the 25th anniversary of St John Paul II’s visit to Ta’ Pinu.
• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at St Francis church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.
