The University of Malta’s Take Off Business Incubator is accepting applications for Climate-KIC’s Climate Launchpad, Europe’s largest cleantech idea competition. The competition has participants from over 25 countries.

The initiative is built around sustainability and its aim is to channel Europe’s best start-ups into the Climate-KIC Accelerator Programme.

This is a great opportunity for Maltese cleantech start-ups and entrepreneurs to strengthen their presence in and links to Europe, the university said.

Climate Launchpad helps innovators turn their cleantech idea into a business.

The most promising participants win the chance to attend a two-day business boot camp and have six coaching sessions by industry specialists, during which to work on their business plan and prepare to pitch their idea in their national final.

The top three from each country will go to the European final in he Netherlands, where the winners will be awarded a cash prize and the opportunity to access the Climate KIC Accelerator Programme.

Climate-KIC creates opportunities for innovators to address climate change and shape the world’s next economy by accelerating innovation that enables a low-carbon future.

The deadline for Applications Submission is Friday, June 12.
