Pavements have always meant to be used for the safety of pedestrians. Yet, I feel much safer walking on roads, in spite of some bad drivers, than risking life and limb on the bad pavements we have, many of which have garage ramps you can never walk on.

I greatly pity mothers with pushchairs and invalid people who can’t make use of some pavements.

Isn’t it about time local councils take into consideration this bad state of affairs in most towns and villages? If not, they should be held responsible for any bad falls or other accidents resulting from the bad state of our pavements.
