The Malta Film Commission has intensified its marketing efforts in some of the most prestigious entertainment publications.

It said in a statement the campaign has been put together on the occasion of the 68th edition of Cannes Film Festival this May. As a result, Malta is being featured on the front covers of the Hollywood Reporter and the World of Locations magazines.

The scope of the campaign is to make Malta’s versatile locations and its financial incentives more visible internationally targeting hundreds of professional foreign filmmakers who would be attending this year’s market.

Last year the Maltese film servicing industry grew by 650 per cent, injecting millions into the country’s economy.

The government is committed to continue driving forward this challenging industry to achieve consistent growth and sustainability.
