British Prime Minister David Cameron said today his decisive election victory gave him the mandate to renegotiate Britain's relationship with the European Union.  

He has promised to renegotiate Britain's relationship with the European Union before holding a referendum by the end of 2017 on whether the UK is in -- or out -- of the EU.

He says his election win gives him a mandate over the EU question, but that renegotiating Britan's deal would be tough nevertheless.
